Persons usually come to Hope Counseling Services for help with:

  • Marriage and family issues.
     
  • Problems with personal life such as anxiety, depression, doubt, a sense of failure or a lack of fulfillment.
     
  • Coping with loss or grief.
     
  • Emotional or spiritual problems related to physical illness.
     
  • Problems of conscience or guilt about behavior or a conflict of      values.
     
  • The dilemmas of aging, parenting or growing up.
     
  • Alcohol or substance abuse.
     
  • Pain and stress management.

During the initial visit, clients complete a basic information form. They then talk with a therapist. The focus in the beginning is on understanding the client’s needs and developing clear goals for the counseling process.
